The UK and Ireland boss of Flutter, the country’s largest betting company and owner of Paddy Power, has warned horse racing in Ireland may face a “catastrophic spiral of decline” if the current drafting of the Gambling Regulation Bill is enacted.

The Government’s bill is progressing and is widely expected to be signed into law within the next year.
