The UK Gambling Commission has suspended the operating licences of a Birmingham gambling firm, after a series of anti-money laundering failures and social responsibility concerns.
InTouch Games, which runs 11 websites such as Cash Mo, Bonus Boss and Slot Factory, failed to follow licence conditions related to money laundering, fair and transparent terms and practices, and reporting key events to the regulator.
In February, Intouch was ordered to pay a £6.1m fine to the UK Gambling Commission (its third fine since 2019) after failing a compliance test. In 2019 Intouch finalised a £2.2m settlement for regulatory failures and received a £3.4m warning for further wrongdoings in 2021.
The UK Gambling Commission said: “We have made it clear to the operator that during the course of the suspension we expect it to focus on treating consumers fairly and keeping them fully informed of any developments which impact them”.
The suspension does not prevent the operator from allowing consumers to access their accounts and withdraw funds.
