Mangaluru: CCB sleuths conducted raids at locations within Kankanady Town and Mangaluru North police station limits, where illegal gambling in the form of andar-bahar was taking place. A total 20 accused were arrested, and cash amounting to Rs 75,920, along with other valuables, was seized. On Feb 13, acting on credible information, Mangaluru CCB police raided an illegal gambling den in Adamkudru. Police seized Rs 42,800, playing cards, and gambling-related materials. A case was registered at Kankanady police station.
On Feb 14, police received information about an illegal gambling operation at a house near Car Street, in Mangaluru North police station limits. Upon raiding the premises, 12 people were caught playing andar-bahar. Police seized Rs 33,120, playing cards, and other gambling-related items. A case was registered at the Mangaluru North police station.
The operation was carried out under the guidance of CCB unit ACP Manoj Kumar Naik, led by inspector Rafiq KM.
